Tenuta Ulisse
Tenuta Ulisse was founded in 2006 by the Ulisse Marullo brothers in the Abruzzo region of Italy, with the aim of reviving local indigenous grape varieties while combining the most advanced winemaking techniques to create high-quality wines with an international vision. Their vineyards are situated in the hilly areas around Crecchio in the province of Chieti and in a microclimate close to the Adriatic Sea, with well-drained, mineral-rich soils. Organic cultivation combined with wild yeast fermentation ensures that each bottle of wine truly reflects its terroir. In 2015, during the restoration of the old winery site, a well-preserved 18th-century stone farmhouse was discovered. The winery has renovated it into a tasting room and cultural exhibition space, highlighting its commitment to preserving historical architecture while deepening Tenuta Ulisse's mission of cultural heritage. This tradition is integrated into the daily life of the winery, not only preserving ancient containers and handmade winemaking elements but also complementing them with modern sustainable practices. Tenuta Ulisse has received numerous awards at major international wine exhibitions and competitions for its representative single varietals such as Montepulciano d’Abruzzo, Pecorino, and Passerina.
